Description
Who doesn’t love a beautiful succulent? Inspired by some of my own plants, I created this variegated green colourway with subtle hints of yellow and brown that show through here and there. You can see how it might look in the photo with the knitted square sample.
I hand dyed “Succulents” in fingering weight and DK weight yarn, and you can see in the photos how the difference in yarn thickness makes each base slightly different but equally beautiful.
The sock yarn base is a merino and nylon superwash blend in 75/25 proportion. This means it is a sturdy yarn that can withstand more wear and tear than other yarns without nylon, and may be machine washed in the delicates cycle.
The DK yarn base is 100% merino wool and so squishy soft I just want to squeeze all the time.
I think “Succulents” would look absolutely gorgeous as a hand knit jumper and perfect for that person in your life who loves a more masculine, earthy tone – your other half, a knit-worthy friend or yourself?
Get out those knitting needles or crochet hooks and get creating some succulent-inspired green loveliness.
A word on repeatable colourways
This is a colourway I can repeat and results will be similar from one dye batch to another, but never exactly the same. This means that colours may pool more on one area of the skein than another, or look a bit different from the colours shown in these photos.
Do take this into consideration if you are placing a custom order for more quantity than I currently have. Different fibres also absorb dyes differently due to their contents and factory processing, so if you want this green hand dyed yarn in another base it may show differently as well.
