Description

Linen is the perfect lightweight material for Summer or Spring. This lace beaded shawl wrap will make you stand out in any special occasion, adding an extra touch of elegance to your ensemble without being too warm. The light grey in this wedding lace shawl is perfect to offset a white bridal gown or used in informal situations – it’s all in how you wear it.

This shawl was knit using 100% linen yarn with added Preciosa Czech round seed beads with a silver lining for that subtle, elegant sparkle. The wingspan is 140cm (55″).

The pattern is by Bev of Boo Knits, used with permission.

Whether you’re looking for a wedding beaded shawl or just want to look unmatched in your everyday wardrobe elegance, this delicate lace beaded shawl wrap is for you. Well cared for, this is a staple to be passed down to other generations and turned into an heirloom.

Care instructions:
I recommend you don’t wash this shawl unless you really need to. Linen is a natural fibre so hanging it horizontally outdoors for half an hour should get rid of any smells such as tobacco.
If you do need to wash it, hand wash with delicate wash detergent and do not wring. Air dry horizontally. You may need to use blocking wires to stretch the fibre so it regains its pointy look. If you need help with this, contact me and I’ll be happy to instruct you further.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

  • Store your hand knits away from direct sunlight.  Don’t place anything heavy on top of the fibre to avoid squishing it. I recommend folding shawls gently and storing them side by side instead of one on top of the other.

  • I recommend adding lavender sachets in your drawer for pest prevention.

  • Hand wash using wool-specific detergents, dry flat. Shawls, particularly lace, will need to be blocked with wires to regain their open stitch definition.
