If you love wrapping yourself in warmth, you can’t go wrong with alpaca fibre. The silk in the yarn adds that little extra subtle shine for extra oomph.
This is a large triangular shawl, measuring 165cm x 120cm x 75cm. It was hand knit using handspun yarn – this is one truly handmade garment!
The pattern is my own, a simple stockinette stitch with occasional purl stitches standing out.
This shawl is a great addition to your wardrobe and, properly cared for, is an heirloom piece to be passed down for generations.
Care instructions:
I recommend you don’t wash this shawl unless you really need to. Wool is self-cleaning so hanging it horizontally outdoors for half an hour will get rid of any smells such as tobacco.
If you do need to wash it, hand wash with wool wash detergent or baby shampoo, do not wring. Air dry horizontally.
