Description
I created this skein by first hand dyeing the Leicester Longwool wool locks in shades of green, blue and purple, which I then spun together and finally beautifully highlighted with a neon-green, UV-reactive thinner ply singles made from Shetland roving.
A total of 59 yards of mostly chunky weight yarn interspersed with thin fingering weight sections ensures plenty of interesting textures for your creative projects.
The full Leicester Longwool curly locks with intact texture will add distinct character and depth to any woven wall hanging or knitted garment. Very textured chunky yarn is also great to create quick knitting or crochet projects such as beanie hats or for highlights in your project, such as a border or an accent area.
From its UV-reactivity to its accentuated texture and captivating colour palette, ‘Underwater Magic’ offers endless possibilities for your unique creations and is a true testament to the beauty and diversity of hand spun yarns.
This handspun art yarn is one-of-a-kind.
About handspun art yarns
Hand spun art yarns are special and full of character. They have a personality that commercial yarn just can’t get close to. Each yard of fibre has passed through the spinner’s loving hand to become what it is now: a glorious, textured skein waiting for your imagination to turn into a knitting or crochet project you can be proud of.
When crafting with a skein of handspun art yarn, you are picking up the spinner’s work, continuing the fibre’s journey, and making it your own.
Be a part of this amazing handmade artistry.
