Description
A stash should never be without a neutral colour yarn. A good neutral such as this warm beige is perfect for gender neutral garments for babies or men who need their clothes to suit a more corporate environment.
Neutral doesn’t need to be boring, however. This colourway has a trick up its figurative sleeve: rainbow speckles! These multicolour dots of colour mimic tweed and will show subtly on your knitted or crocheted item – perfect for the rebel who needs to blend in but still show some pizzazz.
This yarn would make a lovely beanie for that special (knit-worthy) person in your life, or a pair of cosy socks. If you use multiples, the sky is the limit! (Please get in touch for a custom dye of multiple skeins.)
I dyed Post-Apocalyptic Tweed in my Gaia sock base, which is an absolutely gorgeous superwash merino and nylon (75/25) fingering weight, 4-ply construction yarn. It’s a very sturdy yet soft yarn, perfect for harder wearing projects.
About hand dyed colourways
Because designer indie-dyed yarns are created in small batches, differences are to be expected between them (and often even in the same batch). Because of this, I advise you buy as many skeins as needed for your project and alternate them to avoid pooling and colour mismatches. Find out more in our Fibre Bases and Info page.
Whether you’re talking about this neutral colour yarn or another one, I am also happy to custom dye lot of yarn to suit your needs, simply contact me on [email protected] and let’s talk!
A disclaimer on colour
Please note that this colourway doesn’t photograph well. The undertone of this warm beige is slightly less yellow and more subtle pink/red that what you see. I’ve done my best to showcase the true colours of this lovely yarn but my camera just wasn’t cooperating no matter how much I tried. Your monitor settings might also differ from mine.
