Are you looking for a rather lovely natural undyed lace weight yarn to play with, maybe for home dyeing? My yarn base Ariadne Lace is a soft, gentle twist, natural white laceweight yarn with a beautiful sheen coming from its silk content.
Ariadne’s fibre content is non-superwash merino 80% and 20% silk, perfect to show off a solid or variegated colour. This yarn base also makes wonderful shawls or other garments (you can hold it double with another yarn to knit).
Since this is a non-superwash wool, it means it may felt if not handled carefully. If using this yarn to hand dye at home, please avoid agitating the fibre too much and avoid sudden temperature changes.
Each skein is a whopping 1312 yards or 1200 meters long, making it perfect for a hand knit or crochet shawl. Or, go crazy and knit a lace weight jumper, you intrepid maker you!
