Description
Time for another confession: this colourway wasn’t planned. True, I wanted to dye a variegated brown hand dyed yarn with some pink undertones, and I had my formulation all written down, when my brain decided to read one part wrong and fudge the whole thing.
Good thing I did, because Dusty Pink Sunset looks even more beautiful than I imagined!
This 100% merino DK yarn – oh so soft and bouncy – has hues of black-bean brown, rust, tangerine and, if you’re a geek like me and decided to look for its commercial name, a colour called Caput Mortuum.
“Dusky Pink Sunset” would look so beautiful as a hand knit jumper in a quiet stockinette stitch to let all the colours speak out.
Get out those knitting or crochet needles and get creating something lovely pinkish brown loveliness – that you’ll then show me on social media so I can be super jealous of, naturally.
A word on repeatable colourways
This is a colourway I can repeat and results will be similar from one dye batch to another, but never exactly the same. This means that colours may pool more on one area of the skein than another, or look a bit different from the colours shown in these photos.
Do take this into consideration if you are placing a custom order for more quantity than I currently have. Different fibres also absorb dyes differently due to their contents and factory processing, so if you want this green hand dyed yarn in another base it may show differently as well.
Contact me to place a custom order if you’d like more skeins than I have in stock, or if you’d like this colourway in a different yarn base.
