Description
Confession time: I’m not the biggest lover of shades of pink… However, this pink hand spun yarn won me over with its various soft colours and oh-so-squishy feel. It’s just so… wonderful.
I hand spun this from wool top from another indie dyer friend of mine and it’s a lovely blend of merino wool and soy (70/30). This blend means the yarn is both very soft but sturdy, and with a lovely bit of shine added in.
Soy used as spinning fibre is a byproduct of the soybean industry, so you’re helping the planet by giving the discarded hulls of soybeans a new life!
The barber pole effect means the various shades of pink blend in with each other, so your knitted or crocheted (or woven!) project will have a beautifully harmonious colour coordination to it.
With a total of 266 yards in DK to chunky weight, this hand spun gives you plenty to make a small project with, or add it to another yarn to create something larger – with your imagination, this pink yarn will reach new heights of loveliness. Thanks for continuing my handmade journey with your own hands!
The journey of my hand spun yarn is yours, too
A hand spun yarn is that special something with a character that commercial yarns just can’t get close to. Each yard of fibre has passed through my loving spinner hands to become what it is now: a bouncy, squishy and shiny pink skein of yarn waiting for your imagination to turn it into the perfect knitting or crochet project you can be proud of.
When you craft with my hand spun yarn, you are picking up my work and making it your own by continuing the fibre’s journey.
You are a part of this amazing handmade artistry, how lovely is that?
