Sturdy, squishy, blue...
- Dyed in my Gaia DK base: superwash merino/nylon (75/25) double knit weight yarn
- Sturdy all-rounder base for all types of knitting and crochet projects
- Repeatable colourway, also available in Gaia Sock
Rusty Door in Modena is a saturated turquoise blue and rust yarn with enough speckles to keep your eyes interested when knitting or crocheting and after you’ve finished your project. It is dyed in my Gaia DK base, which is a great squishy all-rounder for any type of project demanding double knit weight wool, such as jumpers.
At 246 yards or 225 meters, it’s got enough length for a cowl or a shawlette. Looking for this colourway in fingering weight? Click here for the Gaia Sock version.
Because designer indie-dyed yarns are created in small batches, differences are to be expected between skeins (and often even in the same batch). Because of this, I advise you buy as many skeins as needed for your project and alternate them to avoid pooling and colour mismatches. Find out more in our Fibre Bases and Info page.
