Description
This is one seriously snuggly hand knitted triangular shawl: at 165cm wide, you’re bound to feel warm and gorgeous wrapped in it.
The yarn I hand spun is a luxurious blend of alpaca and silk – alpaca is naturally hypoallergenic because it has no lanolin, and the silk adds sheen and extra strength. Alpaca fibres are also hollow, which means they trap heat better than wool, making them extra cosy.
This hand knitted triangular shawl is quite large, measuring 165cm x 120cm x 75cm.
The pattern is a simple garter stitch with an occasional stocking stitch section added in certain rows to add interest. The intention is to let the colours create the pattern, which fades from black to grey to white and then repeats itself throughout.
This handmade shawl is a great addition to your wardrobe and, properly cared for, is an heirloom piece to be passed down for generations.
Care instructions
I recommend you don’t wash this shawl unless you really need to. Wool is self-cleaning so hanging it horizontally outdoors for half an hour will get rid of any smells such as tobacco.
If you do need to wash it, hand wash with wool wash detergent or baby shampoo, do not wring. Air dry horizontally.
