Description

This is a dyed-to-order listing. I have a quick turnaround time of 3-5 days (plus shipping), so don’t be afraid to place an order. Simply choose one of my available yarn bases and I’ll get to the dye pots!

“Mossy Moggy” is a layered speckled green yarn with sections of violet and blue. I love how complex it can be but still look cohesive and put together in a knitting or crochet project.

This colourway would look stunning paired with “Can’t Have Nice Things,” the semi-solid green mohair yarn of this collection.

This yarn is part of the Cattitude Collection and might be readily available in Gaia Sock.

A word on yarn bases

Each type of fibre and how it’s treated will impact how the dyes are absorbed into the yarn. Because of this, there is a likelihood that each yarn base might look slightly different from what you see in the photos.

For reference, the photos show “Mossy Moggy” in Gaia Sock (Merino/Nylon 75/25).

Indie-dyed yarns are created in small batches, so differences are to be expected between them (and often even in the same batch). I advise you to purchase as many skeins as needed for your project and alternate them to avoid pooling and colour mismatches. Find out more in our Fibre Bases and Info page.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

  • Keep yarn in a dry room away from direct sunlight. Airtight boxes are recommended. Don’t place anything heavy on top of the skein to avoid squishing it.
  • I recommend adding lavender sachets to the storage container for pest prevention.
  • Hand wash your finished product separately using wool-specific detergents, dry flat. Hand dyed fibres may bleed a little in the first couple of washes.
