Ah, the allure of neon colours… This chunky neon rainbow hand spun yarn is unapologetically in-your-face loud and won’t let you go about unnoticed!

This skein was hand spun using my own hand dyed wool top in a blend of blue-faced Leicester (BFL) and bio-nylon (as strong as regular nylon, only this one’s compostable and eco-friendly!) It’s mostly bulky/chunky weight.

I created a barber pole effect with this yarn by plying two strands of different colours for the most part. When you knit or crochet with it, all the rainbow colours will complement each other beautifully one neon stitch at a time!

You’ll have a total of 124 yards to craft with, making this a good skein for a small project; or be bold and add other chunky weight yarns and make something big!

Hand spun yarns: a journey that begins with me but is made special by you

Hand spun yarns are such amazing gems of knitting, crochet or weaving wonder. Commercial yarns just can’t compare to them!

Although I have lovingly spun each yard on my wheel, the journey doesn’t end there –  it continues with you, your project and imagination.

It’s an amazing thing that handmade artistry can begin with one person and continue its journey with someone else, and how lovely is that?

Please note on colour accuracy

Although colours shown on this listing run true on my monitor, they can vary on yours depending on your settings.

  • Keep yarn in a dry room away from direct sunlight. Airtight boxes are recommended. Don’t place anything heavy on top of the skein to avoid squishing it.
  • I recommend adding lavender sachets to the storage container for pest prevention.
  • Hand wash your finished product separately using wool-specific detergents, dry flat. Hand dyed fibres may bleed a little in the first couple of washes.
