  • One of my most favourite yarns ever
  • 50 yards/45 meters
  • Core spun art yarn plied with golden thread
  • Mostly chunky or bulky weight
  • Fibres: Merino, silk, and sparkle thread

This yarn is very special to me. I can look at it for hours, the colours are the perfect jewel tones that just sing to me. The rich, deep reds, the vibrant greens and the stunning blues make my heart flutter. This yarn is much lovelier in person than in photos because there’s just so many colour details to see.

I core spun a smooth batt I made, then plied it with golden thread for extra texture. Being plied, this means this art yarn is also well balanced and would suit many crafting projects (weaving art, anyone?)

This is 50 yards of a stunning merino and silk yarn you’ll be glad to have in your stash. I just love it to bits, it’s so beautiful. Reminds me of Autumn, and of elegant oxidised copper art (it’s green and golden brown!)

Hand spun yarns are special and full of character. They have a personality that commercial yarn just can’t get close to. Each yard of fibre has passed through the spinner’s loving hand to become what it is now: a glorious, squishy skein waiting for your imagination to turn into a knitting or crochet project you can be proud of.

When crafting with handspun, you are picking up the spinner’s work, continuing the fibre’s journey, and making it your own.

Be a part of this amazing handmade artistry.

Please be aware that the colours shown on this yarn run true on my monitor but can vary on your screen depending on your settings.

  • Keep yarn in a dry room away from direct sunlight. Airtight boxes are recommended. Don’t place anything heavy on top of the skein to avoid squishing it.
  • I recommend adding lavender sachets to the storage container for pest prevention.
  • Hand wash your finished product separately using wool-specific detergents, dry flat. Hand dyed fibres may bleed a little in the first couple of washes.
