Description

  • 102 yards/93 meters
  • Core spun art yarn, spun from textured batt
  • Bulky or Chunky weight, plied with silver thread
  • Fibres: Merino, BFL, faux cashmere, mohair, silk and sparkle

This bulky hand spun yarn was created from an art batt I made. It is mostly monochrome natural greys and whites, with some hand dyed black mohair and red silk thrums mixed in.

It was core spun and then plied with silver thread, creating a sparkly skein that is fun to look at and oh so squishy.

Chunky yarn is great for quick knitting or crochet projects such as beanie hats. Core spun yarn is also fantastic for weaving. This yarn is waiting for you to turn it into something glorious of your very own.

Hand spun yarns are special and full of character. They have a personality that commercial yarn just can’t get close to. Each yard of fibre has passed through the spinner’s loving hand to become what it is now: a glorious, squishy skein waiting for your imagination to turn into a knitting or crochet project you can be proud of.

When crafting with handspun, you are picking up the spinner’s work, continuing the fibre’s journey, and making it your own.

Be a part of this amazing handmade artistry.

Please be aware that the colours shown on this yarn run true on my monitor but can vary on your screen depending on your settings.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

  • Keep yarn in a dry room away from direct sunlight. Airtight boxes are recommended. Don’t place anything heavy on top of the skein to avoid squishing it.
  • I recommend adding lavender sachets to the storage container for pest prevention.
  • Hand wash your finished product separately using wool-specific detergents, dry flat. Hand dyed fibres may bleed a little in the first couple of washes.
