This hand spun art yarn is very special to me. I can look at it for hours, the colours are the perfect jewel tones that just sing to me. The rich, deep reds, the vibrant greens and the stunning blues make my heart flutter. This yarn is much lovelier in person than in photos because there’s just so many colour details to see.
I created this art yarn by core spinning a smooth batt I carded, then plied it with golden thread for extra texture. Because it is plied, this means this hand spun art yarn is also well balanced and would suit many crafting projects – it would looks absolutely gorgeous in a weaving project.
There’s a total of 50 yarn or 45 meters (approximately) of mostly bulky/chunky weight art yarn for you to enjoy. There are small differences in thickness here and there, but not so much that you’d notice it very much.
This is 50 yards of a stunning merino and silk yarn you’ll be glad to have in your stash. I just love it to bits, it’s so beautiful. Reminds me of Autumn, and of elegant oxidised copper art (it’s green and golden brown!)
Hand spun art yarn is special
Hand spun art yarns are special and full of character, with characteristics that commercial yarn just can’t get close to. Each yard of fibre has passed through the spinner’s loving hand to become what it is now: a glorious, squishy art yarn skein waiting for your imagination to turn into a knitting or crochet project you can be proud of.
When crafting with handspun yarns, you are picking up the spinner’s work, continuing the fibre’s journey, and making it your own.
Be a part of this amazing handmade artistry.
A little caution on colour
Note that the colours shown on this hand spun art yarn run true on my monitor but can vary on your end depending on your screen settings.
